O projeto da produção do azeite de oliva extra virgem da Estância das Oliveiras foi iniciado há 14 anos atrás com pesquisas de olivocultura na propriedade da família Goelzer, a Fazenda de Turismo Quinta da Estância da cidade de Viamão.
Em 2019, após muitos aprendizados e superações a Estância das Oliveiras começou a produzir azeites comercialmente e hoje possui um total de 5.000 oliveiras de diferentes varietais.
Em 2021, o azeite de oliva extra virgem Estância das Oliveiras Blend Exclusivo, composto de uma combinação única de varietais das azeitonas arbosana, arbequina e koroneiki, foi eleito o melhor azeite de oliva do Hemisfério Sul, recebendo a Medalha de Ouro no EVO iOOC Itália, que é o principal concurso de Azeites de Oliva da Itália e está entre os mais importantes concursos internacionais no mundo.
Em 2022 o azeite da Estância das Oliveiras foi indicada como melhor Azeite de Oliva do Brasil pelo TerraOlivo de Israel, e recebeu 4 medalhas Grand Prestige Ouro – o mais alto nível da competição. No International Olive Oil Contest EVO Itália a marca recebeu 3 de ouro e 2 de prata). E no Nova York World Olive Oil Competition recebeu 2 de ouro e 1 de prata. Em 2023 foi eleito um dos mehores azeites do mundo pelo TerraOlivo Itália.
The project to produce extra virgin olive oil at Estância das Oliveiras began 14 years ago with research into olive growing on the Goelzer family’s property, the Quinta da Estância Tourism Farm in the city of Viamão.
In 2019, after much learning and overcoming, Estância das Oliveiras began to produce olive oils commercially and today has a total of 5,000 olive trees of different varieties.
In 2021, Estância das Oliveiras Blend Exclusivo extra virgin olive oil, made from a unique combination of varietals of arbosana, arbequina and koroneiki olives, was voted the best olive oil in the Southern Hemisphere, winning the Gold Medal at EVO iOOC Italy, which is Italy’s leading olive oil competition and among the most important international competitions in the world.
In 2022, Estância das Oliveiras’ oil was nominated as the best Olive Oil in Brazil by TerraOlivo in Israel, and received 4 Grand Prestige Gold medals – the highest level of the competition. At the International Olive Oil Contest EVO Italy, the brand won 3 gold and 2 silver medals.) And at the New York World Olive Oil Competition it won 2 gold and 1 silver.
